The Receipt
To celebrate Walmart’s first-ever sponsorship of the Academy Awards we challenged Hollywood directors Antoine Fuqua, Marc Forster and filmmaking partners Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg to each make a one-minute film based on the six items of a single Walmart receipt. The directors were given total creative freedom and the films aired during the broadcast. On a night all about storytelling, we showed that what you buy at Walmart is a story in itself.
The campaign won a Bronze Lion at Cannes, which was a first for the brand at major award show.
